mon{diy}day: pencil holder

A couple weeks ago, I saw this pencil holder on Fly, one of my favorite blogs. Cute, right? Now, I'm not knocking anyone's hustle but $9.50 is $8.50 more than I'd like to spend on a pencil holder *shrug*. So, I decided to make my own. Yes, it's super DIY and I love it! It makes me happy when I see it on my desk.

  1. I am a diy girl all the way. I love this!

  2. i laughed sooo hard when you said that it's 8.50 more than you want to spend!!!! ahahahah! egggggcelent! i luv this idea! i'm totally doing! one thing, where's the pic of the one from Fly?

  3. aw. it came out cute.

well, this girl makes her living selling pencil cups and other assorted bits of ephemera. so, draw your own pattern, get it printed 100x. take 100 cups, then wrap 100x. you'll quickly see why i charge $9.50 - the "hustle".

anyway, they're made in USA and designed/drawn by me. They have many fans. : ) And, it seems sure they inspire many, too.

  4. @Tam- I know you are!!! :) Thanks!!

@Amber- heehee! When you click the link, it should take you to the pics/posts where I saw the pencil holder.

@Susy- Thank you so much for the compliment!!! Thanks to Andrea, I was able to see your work! It's def. fly and it def. inspired me! Continue the hustle!!! :)

  5. OMG! I love this. what a great DIY tip.

  6. Yay! Thanks, Andrea!!! That means A LOT coming from you! Thanks for stopping by! :)
